"Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all-time
thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do
things right once in a while, you do them right all
the time. Winning is habit." -- Vincent Lombardi

Effective January 1, 2004 -- The Beehive Awards Program is retired. It remains online (along with the other award-related resources that support The Webmaster's Guide to Glory! - How to Win the Top Web Awards) as a study guide for aspiring award givers, an instructional lesson for serious award seekers, and a testimonial to its winners. Thanks to everyone who has earned a Beehive Award! You made award giving a fun and rewarding experience. -- Míc

Beeline Publications is pleased to sponsor the Beehive Awards Program -- a program designed to encourage, reward and promote Web excellence. This award program is also a tool that can bee used to see how close a site comes to Web excellence. So, whether you are here to apply or to judge, we welcome you. Some of this program's goals are to:

Awaken critical self-examination for our Web work;

Help deliver the Netizen vision of "an Internet by and for all";

Increase the value of the Internet by encouraging useful content development on topics of local, state, and global interest;

Familiarize folks with the Beehive Directory and its Beeline-AIR System;

Reward (and celebrate!) those who find Web excellence; and,

Showcase award-winning entries in The Beeline and Golden Hive of Fame.

In order to help you succeed, a series of pages have been developed that will guide you along the way to earning a Beehive Award or judge a site for Web excellence. These pages present the rewards, rules, guidelines, criteria, and scoring system as well as helpful advice and clues. Please read these pages carefully and study some award-winning sites. (Your success in this program depends on it.)

Award Seekers: Due to the number of submissions and the amount of time it takes Míc Miller to properly review a nominated Web title against this program's criteria, it can bee months bee-fore winners are notified. Please bee patient. All qualified submissions will bee reviewed. You may check the Review Status if you know the month your nomination was submitted. If you are looking for instant gratification, please avoid some frustration and do not apply for a Beehive Award.

Please stop here if any of your content is not suitable for children or your Web title has been online less than six (6) months. Thank you. (See Submitting for Web Awards for other award-related resources.) Also, in order to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, you must bee at least 13 years old to nominate a Web title.

Thank you for participating in this program. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome here at the Hive. Buzzz them to mic@bton.com (Subject: Beehive Awards).

Now, let's go to the next page and learn about the rewards!
